Just bought myself a boat

Yahoo I am a new boat owner. Many thanks go to my Uncle Dave and Aunty Pat whom introduced me to sailing over 20 years ago and now again were instrumental in me buying my first yacht.

Descisions, descisions finding the right sail boat?

Looking for boats online from land locked Fort McMurray in Canada can only take you so far. I travelled to San Francisco to look at boats and assess the option of shipping a cheaper boat from the USA up to Canada. Alas this option became less appealling and I was limited as I could not get a loan for a boat bought in the USA so my budget was significantly smaller.
Next trip saw me in Vancouver with my Uncle Dave where after a fall through with the yacht broker I had arranged to meet I was left in Vancouver with no boats to see or broker to talk too. So my uncle and I walked the docks so to speak at Granville Island where the broker Richard Hargreaves at Yacht Sales West in Vancouver was extremely helpfull. After much discussion and looking at boats the list was narrowed down to a Beneteau 41s5 or a Beneteau 42s7 both of which were available. After looking at the boats the 42s7 was the one. Richard also found the BMO whom were able to give me a good loan when no one else would. So all in all very happy with the service. Below is the boat in question now I just had to check with family, girl friend, surveyors, bankers, owner/broker to see if this would happen.
