Charlotte Amalie, USVIs to Fajardo, Puerto Rico

Justin, Anthony, and I left Charlotte Amalie, USVIs at 4:30 am on April 17th.  We arrived in Isla de Culebra, Puerto Rico at 9:30 am.  We anchored in Ensenada Honda.  Mireille and Warwick were on the shore and watched us motor in.

Leaving American Virgin Islands

After meeting up with Mireille and Warwick and getting their bags to the boat, we rented a golf cart to drive around the Island.  The golf cart wasn't in the best repair, and we had to hop out of golf cart to push it up hills.  It probably wasn't intended to transport five grown human beings either.

We zipped over to Playa Flamenco on the west end, had pizza and beer for lunch, and walked along the beach, where we found some abandoned tanks from 1975.  On the way back, we stopped at Playa Tamarindo to see if good for snorkeling.

We ended up exchanging the golf cart for one that didn't required to be pushed.  Justin and I returned to the boat. I napped.  Justin cleaned the boat.  Anthony, Mireille, and Warwick went swimming.  When they returned, Mireille made us egg frittatas for dinner and we all went to bed early.

We left Isla de Culebra mid morning after having french toast and papaya (prepared by Mireille and Warwick) for breakfast.  We sailed downwind at 15 to 20 knots, and we made it to mainland Puerto Rico by lunch time.  We tried to go to Marina Puerto Chico in Fajardo, but they were full.  So, we went to Isleta Marina on an island just off the west coast instead.
