We arrived in Puerto Chiapas early in the morning of December 15th. We steered our boat up the narrow, shallow water way up to the marina, with our eyes glued to the depth sounder.

Mitch Heath and Nicole Muscroft arrived shortly after us. However, we weren't allowed off the boat yet as we needed to be inspected by customs. Customs arrived with the military who had a sniffer dog to inspect the boat so to ensure that we weren't importing drugs from Guatemala.
We only spent one day in Puerto Chiapas, which allowed us to stock up our supplies.
We departed the next day, but only after doing our formal exit with customs, which again included the military and a different sniffer dog, this time trained to find large amounts of cash.
